KUALA LUMPUR: After its management agency said that all seven members BTS were on track to carry out their mandatory military service, its youngest member Jungkook took to Weverse to announce that he will begin his enlistment next month.

He wrote in the post: "Dear ARMY…in December, I will start a new journey, I'm leaving you for a while to serve in the military."

"After I return, I promise that I will be where I always am, onstage, having grown," he said.

The popular South Korean band is on temporary break as a group with three (Jin, J-Hope, and Suga) of its seven members, are currently in the military.

BTS' management agency said the remaining four – RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – have begun the process of military enlistment.

Meanwhile, an eight-part documentary series – BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star – celebrating the band's 10th anniversary since its debut will premiere on Disney+ from Dec 20.The docuseries will be released two episodes each week.
