KUALA LUMPUR: Muhammad Haziq Mohd Asyraf, 12, dubbed the country's "little journalist" is now an actor, and his first drama will be screened on the second day of Hari Raya.

Kedah-born Muhammad Haziq is making his small screen debut in five-episode Misi Anak Bulan, at 6pm on TV9 that day.

He will once again play a "little journalist" in the heartwarming drama, which also stars Siti Fazurina and Ezad Lazim.

"It's not easy to be an actor, in fact it's tiring since we have to shoot every scene a few times.

"However, I enjoy it very much and I'd love to appear in more television programmes," he said in an interview with Harian Metro Online yesterday.

Muhammad Haziq first found fame on social media last January, reporting the discovery of a python at a market in his hometown Bukit Selambau, Sungai Petani, Kedah.

He also interviewed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in a hotel in Alor Star last February, and later said that it was his dream come true.

"Being a reporter has earned me a following in school and online. In fact I love acting and reporting, and I don't think I'd like to choose one over the other," he said.
