KUALA LUMPUR: Popular singer Britney Spears is writing a fiction that takes inspiration from her conservatorship battle.

She is the author of two previous books, Britney Spears' Heart to Heart and A Mother's Gift, both co-written with her mother, Lynne Spears.

Taking to Instagram recently, the 39-year-old superstar announced to her 35.3 million followers that she was in the midst of writing a murder mystery book.

"I'm writing a book about a girl,

who was murdered… yet her ghost gets stuck in limbo because of trauma and pain and she doesn't know how to cross over to the world she use to know!!!!

"After being stuck in limbo for three years, she is a ghost who thrives off of her reflection in her mirror for existence!!!!," she said.

Spears added: "She has no one she can trust but something happens and she figures out how to cross over to the world where her family is!!!!"

The entry received close to 600,000 likes, with many leaving encouraging messages.

According to Daily Mail, on Sept 29, Judge Brenda Penny removed her father from the arrangement which placed him in charge of her estate — something which Spears had lobbied for several years.

Spears' lawyer Mathew Rosengart is now working to have the conservatorship ended entirely before her 40th birthday in December.
