KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's top singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin, 41, will be delivering her second child, a boy, sometime in April next year.

The expectant mother and Kuasa Cintamu hitmaker shared the gender of her upcoming baby during the recent Shoppee Live 12.12 online Birthday Sale campaign.

"Praise be to God, the desire to have a baby will soon be a reality. Hopefully, God will make everything go smoothly," she said in a recent news report.

Siti, who is almost five months pregnant, added that her first child Siti Aafiyah was very excited to be getting a little brother.

"Aafiyah is a bright child. When it was explained to her that she would be getting a younger sibling, she understood. In fact, when asked where her baby brother was, she quickly pointed to my belly and kissed it.

"She's very happy to have a brother. Aaafiyah is the type who likes children no matter if they are smaller or bigger than her.

"If there are any small children who come to the house, Aafiyah is not shy to make friends and would invite them to play together," she said.

Compared to the early trimester of pregnancy, Siti said that she would quickly get tired and weak.

"I'd be lazy to get ready. However, now I've gotten a little more fit. No more queasiness. I can take part in events like this Shoppee campaign.

"I'm grateful that I have not had any weird or strange cravings since Aafiyah's pregnancy right up to this latest one. Everything is controlled, just that I can't eat spicy food since having Aafiyah as well as this second one. I actually love spicy food," she said.

Meanwhile, Siti's husband Datuk Seri Khalid Mohd Jiwa or Datuk K shared that their soon-to-be-born son would have "Mohamad" in his name, followed by another that starts with the letter A.

"I already have four boys and a girl. God-willing, our baby's name will be revealed a week after his birth," he said.
