KUALA LUMPUR: Azwan Ali's recent appearance as a host for two episodes of Lagu Cinta Kita drew positive attention from Netizens and various personalities including actress Nad Zainal.
She opined that the 54-year-old actor and host, also known as Diva AA, was still one of the best TV hosts in the local industry.
In an Insta-story entry, Nad wrote: "No doubt, Diva Azwan Ali is among the best TV hosts that Malaysia has. Respect for a senior".
Her praise for Azwan was also shared by the veteran artiste on his Instagram account yesterday.
In the comments section, the Hati Yang Tersakiti actress voiced out the differences between the hosts of the 1990s with those of today.
"Nowadays, the hosts like to babble on a lot and cut in while the guest is speaking midway. I really miss the hosts and TV programmes from the 1990s.
"Even the TV news presenters... everyone looked classy," she wrote.
The pairing of a debonair-looking Azwan with actress Elly Mazlein as co-hosts for Lagu Cinta Kita which airs every Sunday on TV3 was a winning onscreen combination.
But Azwan had announced on Instagram that he would only be serving as host for two episodes of the reality TV programme.
