KUALA LUMPUR: Popular South Korean actress Kang Sora has confirmed that she will be marrying the love of her life this year.

According to Soompi, the 30-year-old Seoul-born artiste's agency, Plum Actors, recently announced the good news.

In an official statement, it said that "Kang Sora and her older, non-celebrity boyfriend, who trust and love one another, have decided to tie the knot."

It added: "The wedding was originally scheduled for Aug 29, but the ceremony has been cancelled due to the worsening Covid-19 situation."

The ceremony will now apparently be replaced by a small gathering made up of the happy couple and their immediate family members.

The star of Sunny, Doctor Stranger, Warm And Cozy and Secret Zoo also shared a handwritten letter on her official fan cafe, Bling Bling, yesterday to announce her upcoming marriage.

In the lengthy letter, she wrote: "I'm worried and nervous about greeting you, but I wanted to personally share this news with you first, so I'm writing each word with courage."

"It has already been 11 years since I made my debut. Thank you all, I've felt gratitude that cannot be fully expressed in words.

"Thank you for the support and love you gave me during the 11 years, which enabled me to stay strong and come this far.

"I, Kang Sora, who a lot of you at Bling Bling have considered their younger sister, friend, or older sister, am getting married in late August.

"You are probably surprised by the sudden news. I found a good person that I want to spend the rest of my life with, so I am sharing this good news with you through this letter."

She added: "I will work hard to show a happy married life and many more sides as an actress so that I can return (what I've received) to all of you who believe in and support me."

She ended the letter with: "Though everyone is having a difficult time these days, I genuinely hope that you are staying healthy. Thank you for reading this long letter."
