As one of top R&B singers of the 20th century, Whitney Houston is a legend and this season, make-up giant MAC is celebrating her legacy and style with a limited edition make-up collection.
Whitney's particular take on beauty was fabulousness personified and that still hold relevance to this day-- it's all about dewy skin, vibrant red lips, doe eyes and precise make-up application to amplify her bone structure.
"She loved working with colours on the lips and eyes-- that iconic red lip was always a favourite of hers," says Pat Houston, executor of the Estate of Whitney E. Houston.
MAC senior artist Fatima Thomas says the company is honoured to partner with the Whitney Houston Estate to celebrate her as a beauty muse who shared the brand's value and passion for glamour.
"This collection captures the hues and finishes that were essential to Whitney's most memorable looks," Thomas says.
Whitney's signature pout is central to the collection and lipstick shades run from neutrals and pinks to deeply pigmented reds. They feature alongside two Lipglass shades in full-carat gold and gold-flecked rust, ready to be worn and layered to achieve her beloved high-gloss lip looks.
There's also an eye palette for a smokey eyes with shades like bone beige, carbon black, taupe, grey and molten metallics.
