KUALA LUMPUR: Canalys, a global market research firm, has announced that Xiaomi took the lead in the list of smartphone vendors in Malaysia once again for Q2, 2023 with 18 per cent unit share for sell-in shipments.
According to Xiaomi Malaysia and Singapore country manager, Nicolas Shi, said the company's main priority has always been to fill in the gaps for products that can best cater to customers' needs and preferences at the most accessible price points.
"In order to maintain our role as a leading technology brand, we practice a dual-brand strategy which entails two of our renowned smartphone brands – Xiaomi and Redmi. While the Xiaomi series focuses on premium flagship smartphones with price points that disrupt the market, the latter features amped-up performance equipped with impressive features at a budget-friendly price," he said.
This year, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 12 series and Xiaomi 13 series which have seen great success with features packed with superior mobile imaging technology, boosted performance, with a classic design that fits modern aesthetics.
