KUALA LUMPUR: Toyota's newly enhanced Kinto One now allows subscribers the choice of different yearly mileage packages starting from 20,000km to 30,000 km and to have a longer subscription up to 5 years.
Additionally, Kinto One also now offers a Lite Package for customers who no longer travel as much than before but still require an easy and straightforward car usership program. In essence it offers greater flexibility for customers who need it.
"The country was ushered into another major lock down soon after we launched Kinto One and this has encouraged us to be more adaptive of the local happenings. We took advantage of the recent lock down to improve our Kinto One features through our spirit of Kaizen and structured discipline in product development," said Toyota Capital Malaysia president Thomas Chai.
"We listen closely to what the market needs and has come up with additional varieties of Kinto One to cater to the growing car subscription market" he added.
The Kinto One is the birthchild of a joint strategic collaboration between Toyota Capital Malaysia Sdn Bhd and UMW Toyota Motor. It originated from Japan and was made available globally earlier this year as part of the local early mover for Toyota's ambition to transition into a mobility company.
The fixed monthly subscription covers registration of the vehicle, annual comprehensive insurance, and road tax, periodic as well as preventive maintenance.
Subscription period comes in either two or three years and customer can simply return the car and everything else will be taken care of once the subscription period completes. There is no concern of residual value or how to sell off the car after years of ownership.
