In a note today, Malacca Securities Research expects buying support to emerge within the stocks on the local front within the technology segments like the hard disk drive (HDD), hardware suppliers and cyber security.

The firm said this is given the technology sector is trending strongly in the US.

"We also believe key investment theme will revolve around the data centre, artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud services in Malaysia. "We opine that construction, property, building materials and utilities should benefit for the construction of data centre going forward," it noted.
