KUALA LUMPUR: Powerwell Holdings Bhd's unit, Powerwell International Sdn Bhd has received two purchase orders totalling RM57.61 million for the supply, installation and commissioning of low voltage switchboards and remote power panels for a data centre in Selangor.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd, the company said the purchase orders were received from one of the leading multinational technology corporations that specialised in data centres. The purchase orders are expected to be fulfilled within a year from May 24.
"The purchase orders are expected to contribute positively to Powerwell's consolidated earnings and net assets for the financial year ending March 31, 2025," it said.
Powerwell's share price was up 8.6 per cent to 50.5 sen as at 2.48pm. Some 60.4 million shares changed hands.
