KUALA LUMPUR: Jati Tinggi Group Bhd has bagged a contract of RM22.1 million for a 275 kilovolt (kV) underground cable double circuit for a data centre in the southern region of Malaysia. 

Jati Tinggi said its subsidiary Jati Tinggi Holding Sdn Bhd has secured the contract for underground cable double circuits, a critical component for ensuring reliable and robust power supply to the data centre.

"This contract underscores Jati Tinggi's strong technical capabilities and trust in delivering complex infrastructure utilities projects related to the high voltage power supply industry," it said.

Jati Tinggi said the landmark project signifies a pivotal expansion in its portfolio.

With the procurement of the contract, Jati Tinggi said it is poised to leverage its expertise and capabilities in infrastructure utilities engineering to contribute to the development of high-tech facilities such as data centre. 

"This is just the beginning. We anticipate this venture will pave the way for more opportunities in the data centre and its related sectors, aligning with our strategic vision for sustainable growth," it added.
