KUALA LUMPUR: YTL Communications' Yes, the country's first mobile network to launch 5G in December 2021, has equipped the entire KL Chinatown with free G connectivity.

Yes said it was partnering with Kwai Chai Hong to provide a unique arts and culture experience with an innovative "twist".

"The entire KL Chinatown is now fully equipped with free Yes 5G connectivity, enabled by the Yes 5G wireless fibre Wi-Fi. Visitors at Kwai Chai Hong will be able to enjoy immersive street arts, art installations and activities with no interruption or disruption," Yes said today.

"Through this Yes 5G Uncapped experience, visitors will have unlimited Yes 5G connectivity with no data cap and no 5G speed cap, allowing them to have a seamless 5G mobile internet experience and online access at, undoubtedly, the most instagrammable hotspot in Kuala Lumpur," it added.

The Yes Wireless 5G Home Fibre device – the Infinite Gateway connectivity also extends to all 10 food and beverage outlets at Kwai Chai Hong.

arts and culture aficionados, simultaneously enhancing the way heritage and history is appreciated through technology," said YTL Communications chief executive officer Wing K. Lee.

Beginning January until March 2023, visitors of Kwai Chai Hong can simply scan a QR code at any of the three Infinite Gateway devices to opt for a FREE Yes 5G Sim Card or connect to the Yes 5G wireless fibre Wi-Fi connectivity, for free.
