KUALA LUMPUR: KPJ Healthcare Bhd has appointed Nantha Kumar Subramanian as its new chief digital officer effective from July 1, 2022.

Nantha takes the helm from Yap Chee Wai, who stepped down from KPJ Healthcare as its chief technology officer, to pursue other interests.

President and managing director Datuk Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh KPJ Healthcare wads confident that Nathan was fully capable of leading the company's technology services department.

Nantha will also help to spearhead the company's overall digital transformation journey, as part of the next phase in its strategic growth plans. 

"Nantha's proven expertise and wealth of experience in technology and digital solutions will pave the way for a digital future at KPJ Healthcare," he said in a statement.

Prior to joining KPJ Healthcare, Nantha was the country head of an International Fintech company, Perfios Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. 

In his 22 years of financial and high-tech manufacturing experience in London, Europe and Asia, Nantha led the Transformation of four financial and consumer companies, where he played an instrumental role in achieving cost efficiencies and scaling up operations.

Additionally, over the course of his career, Nantha held numerous leadership roles, including Standard Chartered Bank's chief operating officer for retail banking & head of transformation (business & digital).

Nantha also held positions as global head of process excellence and transformation for HSBC Group and operational and process excellence consultant for UBS U.K, as well as director of operations and process engineering lead for four UK-based manufacturers.
