KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia rebounded after opening lower this morning, taking its cue from the mixed performance of US stock indices last Friday.

Wall Street ended rather mixed as optimism over an immediate solution for the US stimulus package fades.

At 9.12am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was up 3.45 points to 1,688.03 from Friday's close of 1,684.58.

It opened 2.12 points easier at 1,682.46.

Overall market breadth was positive, with gainers leading losers 394 to 350, while 381 counters were unchanged, 1,019 untraded and 22 others suspended.

Volume stood at 979.90 million units worth RM533.51 million. - Bernama
