KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Rugby (MR) today inked a strategic partnership deal with Enervive Sports (EV) which sees the latter becoming the official apparel partner for national rugby referees.

Enervive, through their apparel brand EV, will provide official match jersey sets and travelling attire to the referees.

This is for them to use when officiating matches in competitions such as the Agong's Cup, National Sevens Championships, National Women's 15s championships as well as Enervive's own Super School Rugby and Corporate Super Rugby tournaments.

MR president Amir Amri Mohamad said it was a positive step forward for Malaysian rugby.

"By providing our referees with superior apparel, we are reinforcing our commitment to excellence and

professionalism in the sport," said Amir during a signing ceremony in Subang today.

This collaboration is also a significant stride towards the continuous development of our referees, which is fundamental to the integrity and success of rugby in Malaysia."

The new referees attire will first be used at the Super Schools Rugby competition which kicks off on June 4.
