KUALA LUMPUR: Unseeded K. Sehveetrraa will face fourth seed Chan Yiwen an all-Malaysian women's final in the Asian Qualifier at the NSC Courts tomorrow.

The winner will get a ticket to the World Championships in Cairo from May 9-17.

In the men's event, second seed Addeen Idrakie has qualified for the final against Japan's top seed Ryunosuke Tsukue.

World No 124 Sehveetrraa upset world No. 107 Toby Tse of Hong Kong 11-2, 11-8, 11-6 in the semi-final today while world No. 79 Yiwen stunned world No. 69 and top seed Cheng Nga Ching of Hong Kong 11-5, 11-1, 11-8.

Sehveetrraa, 18, said reaching the final is a great achievement for her as she is unseeded in the tournament.

"I'm excited to play in the final against my senior (Yiwen). Although I have never beaten her in tournaments before, I have nothing to lose. I did well to upset two higher ranked players earlier."

Yiwen, 23, who won the Hong Kong Challenger Cup in February, said: "I played Sehveetrraa for fifth placing in the national championships last year, and I won in straight sets."

World No. 66 Addeen beat third seed Tang Ming Hong of Hong Kong 7-11, 13-11, 11-5, 11-6 in the semi-final. But Malaysia's Bryan Lim failed to advance after losing 11-8, 7-11, 11-2, 11-8 to world No. 59 Ryunosuke.

Addeen, 30, said he aims to book the Cairo ticket as he has yet to qualify for the World Championships in 12 years as a national player.
