KUALA LUMPUR: Former national player Muslim Ahmad proved that he was a serious contender in Muay Thai when he managed to record his first victory by TKO yesterday.

Muslim who is also a former Sri Pahang FC player, used his knee to defeat his opponent by TKO in the second round of the competition which took place at a shopping centre in Padang Serai, Kedah.

Muslim, 35, knocked down Atingpek until he collapsed.

With the result, Muslim is believed to have a chance to shine in the sport if he seriously participates in more tournaments in the future.

Earlier, Arena Metro reported that local football fans were surprised when Muslim was reported to be making an appearance in a Muay Thai match.

The development was shared on the Kelantan MuayThai Channel Facebook page which displayed a poster of the T-Fight 2.8 match between Muslim Ahmad and Atingpek.
