KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian diving has dived into hot water — again.
Not long after national coach Huang Qiang of China was acquitted of the rape of a Malaysian diver, another scandal has exploded.
This time, coming out on the Internet are videos allegedly showing Malaysia’s national divers having a good time and drinking alcohol during their training in Guangzhou, China.
The videos, allegedly shot in February this year, were said to feature senior divers in the Podium Programme and also juniors.
National coach Zhang Yukun is reported to be saying he was surprised over the incident.
The coach said it is up to the Amateur Swimming Union of Malaysia to investigate the matter.
