Mixed weather conditions made it a tricky affair for riders in races two and three of the Malaysia Superbike Championships (MSBK) yesterday.

Zaqhwan Zaidi, who was unable to join race one on Saturday due to sponsorship commitments, started race two of the 1,000cc class from the back of the grid at the Sepang Circuit.

His experience, however, shone as he dominated the race in wet conditions to win in 25:21.870s.

Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin (Yamaha Racing Team Asean) finished second (+4.441s), followed by Onexox TKKR Racing Team's Ramdan Rosli (+36.915s).

However, Zaqhwan was unable to replicate his performance in race three, which played out in mixed wet and dry conditions. He finished third (+19.477s) behind Ramdan (+13.875s).

Azlan Shah Kamaruzzaman (Onexox TKKR Racing Team) won in 2:23.598s.

Zaqhwan is third in the overall standings with 41 points, only four points adrift of second-placed Kasma.

Azlan leads the standings with 58 points.

In the 600cc class, Helmi Azman (Boon Siew Honda Racing Team) won in 15:39.594s, followed by SIC Racing's Syarifuddin Azman (+9.188s).

Race one winner Khairul Idham Pawi (Onexox TKKR Racing Team) took third position.

Meanwhile, Izam Ikmal (Boon Siew Honda Racing Team) completed his dominance of the 250cc class by winning all three races over the weekend. He leads the standings with 75 points.

Danial Syahmi Shahril (SIC Racing) is second with 56 points, followed by Syafieq Aiman Fauzi (Onexox TKKR Racing Team) on 46.
