After eight years of top-level racing, Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah is resigned to the fact that this season will likely be his last in the Moto2 World Championship.

Hafizh, who currently rides for NTS RW Racing GP, made it clear that he is not keen on paying to secure a seat in another team next season.

The 27-year-old feels that it is time that he moved on to another championship.

"I think this will be my last year in the (Moto2) World Championship. I don't think I can continue anymore," said Hafizh.

"I know there are many fans that want me to stay on, but this is something I have to think about for my own future.

"One of the factors is because (many) European teams require you to bring in (sponsorship) money to join their teams.

"I'm not completely against that but the thing is I'm confident I can be competitive, so why do I have to bring in money to the team?

"I'm not sure which championship I am going to next, it could be in Asia or maybe the Superbike World Championship (WSBK).

"And why not? WSBK uses a different bike but it is still a World Championship.

"I do not dare to make any decisions right now. When the time is right, I will let everyone know what my plans are."

Hafizh was roped in by RW Racing this season to help develop the NTS chassis which is a relative newcomer to the Moto2 World Championships.

It has not been easy for both Hafizh and his team this year. He has only been able to collect eight points so far with only three races remaining this season.
