KUALA LUMPUR: Jang Jong Hyun converted three penalty corners as Tenaga Nasional outplayed TNB Thunderbolts 6-0 in the Malaysia Hockey League (MHL) today.

The Korean, who did not score in his opening match against Maybank (3-3), was on target in the 11th, 52nd and 57th at the National Hockey Stadium.

Syed Syafiq Syed Cholan (24th), Firhan Ashari (40th) and Nik Aiman Nik Rozemi (47th) contributed the other goals.

Thunderbolts, who edged newcomers Liaoning Club of China 2-1 in their first match, found Tenaga, who are also powered by 10 national players, a different class.

Firhan said while it was a good win over Thunderbolts, his team are still not at their best.

"We hope to play better in the Charity Shield match against Terengganu (Feb 7)."

Armed Forces, who lost 2-1 to Nurinsafi Sporting last week, bounced back to beat debutants JW Antbees 6-2 at Bertam Hockey Stadium.
