KAJANG: Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia's Graduate School of Business (UKM-GSB) recently organised a Charity Golf Event at the Sungai Long Golf & Country Club (SLGCC) in support of mental health awareness.
The event was organised in collaboration with the Mental Illness Awareness and Support Association (MIASA) and Miracle Minds.
The competition, which saw the participation of 80 golfers from UKM, MIASA and the media, also featured Professional Golf Malaysia (PGM) player Saifubari Muda.
The Charity Golf event was aimed at raising awareness on the importance of good mental health care as well as to help eradicate negative stigma against the mentally ill in society, said project team leader Hanar Jaafar.
"Hopefully it will also be a trigger for the public to be active in advocating for mental health awareness," he added.
