Kelly Tan ended her Olympic golf campaign on a high by shooting the joint-lowest score in the fourth round at the Kasumigaseki Country Club yesterday.

The 28-year-old Johorean fired a superb seven-under 64, a best return of the day, which was only matched by American Jessica Korda.

Kelly certainly saved her best for the last, posting a 73-73-72-64 at the par-71 course for a two-under 282.

Kelly, who is a LPGA player, finished on joint 34th with Taiwan's Lee Min, France's Celine Boutier and Slovakia's Pia Babnik.

Flourishing with eight birdies, Kelly would have signed a flawless card if not for a misjudgment on the 7th hole which saw her recording her only bogey yesterday.

But despite her fine performance, Kelly wished there was more support from Malaysian officials for her Olympic challenge.

"Obviously, I came here with the mindset to get a medal for Malaysia. I shot a low round of 64, and I thought it was great because the setup wasn't easy," said Kelly.

"It's fun to be here, it was an honour to represent my country, but I thought I could have gotten more support other than seeing my fellow athletes here at the (Games) Village, but it's an experience I won't forget.

"I hope things can change from these and the last Olympics (2016) to get (more) support from our sport side in Malaysia. I would have liked to have my coach here, but this time no coach, no team, and it's just me and my caddy (fiance Dusty Lattery).

"I hope at Paris (2024 Olympics), I can bring them, just so I have the best preparations for a medal chance."
