KUALA LUMPUR: Due to technical problems, there was no Video Assistant Referee (VAR) for the Super League match between Sri Pahang and Kelantan Darul Naim at Temerloh Stadium on Saturday.

Despite this setback, Pahang got their season off to a good start with a 1-0 win, thanks to Manuel Hidalgo's goal in the 63rd minute.

The opening goal finally came in the second half when Hidalgo sent a stinging free-kick from outside the penalty box into the left corner, leaving Kelantan goalkeeper Khatul Anuar Jalil with no chance at all.

Meanwhile, Kedah edged Police 1-0, while Tomislav Steinbruckner's Terengganu downed 10-man Perak 3-1 in other matches.

Kedah, who were docked three points prior to the start of the season due to salary arrears in 2023, got their winning goal through Syafiq Ahmad after 33 seconds at the Selayang Stadium.
