KUALA LUMPUR: Liverpool are the best Reds in the world, not Manchester United.

That is the eternal debate in the EPL, and by extension, fans around the world, including Malaysians,

Liverpool legend David James, who is in Kuala Lumpur, wants to prove again that the men from Anfield are better than those from Old Trafford.

James and his team will take on the United legends in the Battle of the Reds at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Saturday.

James, the Reds team manager, said: "What Liverpool need to do now is beat Manchester United, badly. We need to prove to everybody that Liverpool are the best Reds in the world.

"No rivalry, we're just better than them (Manchester United)," added James.

James stressed that regardless of the match's outcome, the priority is to entertain the Malaysian fans.

"Football will triumph, and we're grateful to be here (in Malaysia). We want to put on a spectacle for the passionate Liverpool and Manchester United fans."

The Liverpool Reds consist of James, captain Luis Garcia, Emile Heskey, Glen Johnson, John Arne Riise, Patrik Berger, Vladimir Smicer, Steve McManaman, Jason McAteer, Florent Sinama, John Durnin, David Thompson, Jermaine Pennant, Djibril Cisse and Phil Babb.

Manchester Reds comprise manager Dwight Yorke,
