KUALA LUMPUR: Readjusting the M-League calendar to give coach Kim Pan Gon more time with his national players?
FAM deputy president, Datuk Yusoff Mahadi, said they are looking into this in view of Malaysia's World Cup qualifier against Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek on June 6.
Yusoff talked about the possibility of the national team committee readjusting the M-League fixtures to give Pan Gon more days to work on the national squad.
He said though Malaysia beat Kyrgyzstan 4-3 at home last November, playing the second round away presents different challenges. Furthermore Kyrgyzstan are on a high after beating Oman 1-0.
He said following Malaysia's back-to-back losses against Oman, it is vital that the national team redouble their preparations.
World No 138 Malaysia are currently third in Group D behind Kyrgyzstan and Oman. Taiwan are bottom.
