KUALA LUMPUR: Darul Ta'zim's (JDT) last match of the 2023 Super League against Penang FC today will bring back a thousand memories.

A grand celebration will be held at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri to showcase a decade of dominance by the Southern Tigers in winning the Super League for 10 consecutive seasons. JDT also achieved their second straight treble, having won this season's FA Cup and Malaysia Cup.

The celebration will be perfectly fitting if JDT team manager Esteban Solari can orchestrate a superb win over the visiting Penang squad, coached by Akmal Rizal Rakhli.

Argentine Solari said he respects Penang and will field JDT's best 11 to ensure that their 26-match unbeaten run in domestic football is unbroken.

"It's an important match for us and we want to ensure victory in our last match of the season. We will take a cautious approach against Penang."

He said JDT won't be able to field Shane Lowry and Corbin Ong against Penang due to injuries, and Oscar Arribas is also doubtful.

"We cannot take Penang lightly as they had held Terengganu (Malaysia Cup finalists) 1-1, which shows that the team have quality players with fighting spirit," he said.
