KUALA LUMPUR: Kelantan FC are nervously waiting for that all-important phone call from Malaysian Football League's (MFL) club licensing First Instance Body (FIB).

Kelantan hope for a positive answer to their application for a licence to play in the 2024-2025 Super League.

FIB will only give the green light if it is confirmed that Kelantan had settled salaries owing (reportedly up to eight months) to players and team officials.

MFL said in a statement on Friday that Kelantan had submitted documents which claim that the salaries owing had been paid.

"These documents on payment to 30 players and Kelantan officials are in the process of being vetted by FIB."

MFL will make an announcement soon on Kelantan's status.
