The 23-year-old Isa scored in the 88th minute. However, Ubaidullah Shamsul, a national Under-23 player, was named as the competition's Most Valuable Player.

Ubaidullah said the MVP award will fire him up against JDT in the Malaysia Cup final on Dec 8.

Coach Hairuddin said: "It's a feeling (winning the MFL Cup) that I can't really describe. It's my first time as head coach, we went to the final and won the trophy."
