Jordanians Baha’a Abdulrahman (left) and Yazan Al-Arab at Selangor’s 2022 home kit launch in Kelana Jaya yesterday.

Age is just a number for Jordan captain Baha'a Abdulrahman as the 35-year-old midfielder hopes to regain Selangor's glory days in the M-League.

The Red Giants have also signed Jordan's Yazan Al-Arab to beef up their squad as they hope to make an impact this season and win their first title since the 2015 Malaysia Cup success.

"Age is just a number. I can still play good football. For the last four years, I have been playing outside my country for clubs in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

"I do not see age as a problem. If it is a factor, you wouldn't see players like Dani Alves, who is 38, playing for Barcelona.

"I am here at Selangor to bring joy to the fans. I am confident that I can do it," said Baha'a yesterday.

Defender Yazan is also a Jordanian international. It is the 26-year-old's first stint outside his country.

The other foreign signings are Singapore defender Safuwan Baharudin and Brazilian forward Herlison Caion.

Selangor FC chief executive officer Dr Johan Kamal Hamidon is confident both Baha'a and Yazan will fit well into the club.

"Both players come from big clubs in the Middle East, and they have a winning mentality. We are confident that they will adapt to our football and culture."

Selangor have not confirmed their fifth foreign signing.

However, it is understood that they are negotiating with Brazilian forward Hyuri Henrique.
