KUALA LUMPUR: No blood was shed at Bukit Jalil today as Harimau Malaya had to settle for a 0-0 draw with the War Elephants in the AFF Cup semi-final first leg at National Stadium.

Malaysia played aggressively, created 20 chances and should have inflicted defeat on Thailand if Safawi Rasid and Co had been luckier.

Thailand would be glad to escape with a draw as they will start as favourites in the return leg in Bangkok on Wednesday.

World No 167 Malaysia impressed as they showed purpose and punch in their approach against World No 118 Thailand who had to weather the Harimau’s

onslaughts in front of

84,000 roaring fans.
