KUALA LUMPUR: China have once again proven to be near unstoppable in women's badminton.

On Saturday, 15th-time champion China smashed their way into the Uber Cup final in Chengdu after overpowering Japan 3-0 in the semi-finals.

For the record, it will be China's 20th appearance in the Uber Cup final since 1984 on Sunday.

In the other semi-final tie, Indonesia stunned defending champions South Korea 3-2 to reach their first Uber Cup final since 2008.

He Bing Jiao, who delivered the winning point for China following a 21-8, 21-18 win over former world champion Nozomi Okuhara, does not want to overhype her team's feat.

Believing they still have one more tough tie to go, she told the Badminton World Federation (BWF): "The job is not over yet. We still have three or five more matches to play in the final.

"I want to focus on one step at a time and prepare the best I can for the final."

Meanwhile, Indonesia will be looking to create history, as the last time they won the Uber Cup title was in 1996.
