JOHOR BARU: Johor Land Bhd (JLand), established in July 13, 1972 as the property development arm of Johor Corp (JCorp), will continue to drive the sector in Johor, especially in the development of residential and commercial properties.

Initially known as Syarikat Pembinaan Johor Bhd, JLand's success in driving the property development industry in the state has been proven with the implementation of various residential and commercial development projects while 'pro-rakyat' development have become an important agenda in ensuring the welfare and prosperity of the people of Johor.

JLand's outstanding achievements, particularly in community building, is proven by the development of residential neighborhoods in Pasir Gudang followed by Bandar Dato' Onn in Johor Baru and Bandar Tiram in Ulu Tiram.

"The rapid development of Bandar Dato 'Onn, which is located in the heart of Iskandar Malaysia, will transform the city of Johor Baru into a world-class city which in turn will boost the property market in Johor, especially the demand for residential properties," said Lukman Abu Bakar, managing director of JLand.

He said this after a recital of Yasin, tahlil and thanksgiving Prayer event at the Sultan Iskandar Mosque in Bandar Dato 'Onn here recently.

Also present were Datuk Kamaruzzaman Abu Kassim, president and chief executive JCorp, who is also chairman of JLand, and Datin Noor Laila Yahaya, chairwoman of Mutiara Johor Corp.

Bandar Dato 'Onn is the latest development project that has been carefully planned by JLand to create a beautiful, modern and comfortable environment for people to live.

The green-concept development complements the sustainable development that features 19 exclusive neighbourhoods.
