The Labour Department, responsible for enforcing laws across the country, has made good efforts with operations like the recent Op Restologi, led by the Sarawak office.
During the operation, 47 violation notices were issued and five cases were opened for investigation.
Sarawak Labour Department director Awang Raduan Awang Omar said the operation focused on restaurants and reflexology centres, especially those employing night workers.
The operation checked wage payments, working hours, leave entitlement and the employment of non-residents, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of employers' adherence to labour laws.
