LETTERS: As we draw the curtain on 2023, let's reflect on the year that was.

What could I have done better for the family and my job?

I urge Malaysians to do the right thing and change for the better. Keep the faith in our religion, believe in the good of others and practise moderation.

There will be provocative moments in our lives. However, there is no need to take an aggressive or reactive path.

Go on social media and we are bombarded with not only messages that carry hate but also violence and a decline in morals.

This is not the Malaysia that was, it is not the Malaysia that is, and it will certainly not be tomorrow's Malaysia. You and I have a responsibility towards each other to ensure it does not happen.

There will be situations where the spirit of harmony, peace and togetherness will be put to the test by selfish and irresponsible people.

However, the spirit of camaraderie continues to be strong in Malaysians.

I would wish everyone season's greetings and a Happy New Year.
