THESE are difficult times for a section of humanity. It should surprise no one that this newspaper stands with the persecuted Palestinians to draw the world's attention to the atrocities committed by state terrorist Benjamin Netanyahu.

The United States led by President Joe Biden has the power to stop the atrocities, but he has allowed himself to be dictated by war criminal Netanyahu.

We say this with all seriousness: Biden is making America complicit in the war crimes of apartheid Israel. To date, the US has spent more than US$420 billion in arming the Zionist regime with lethal weapons.

The weapons are being used against defenceless Palestinians. Americans, this is your tax money. You may not be legally complicit in the war crimes being committed with the weapons paid for by your money, but you certainly are morally complicit.

Not many Americans may know this, and as a newspaper that is against war crimes, we have a duty to tell you. Every year the US gifts the Zionist regime of Israel about US$4 billion, all of which goes towards the purchase of weapons.

Like the ones being used to flatten residential towers with people inside, refugee shelters and office buildings that house media companies.

No, this isn't collateral damage. America, you have a very weak president made weaker by Israel. And a subservient one, too.

Every day media footage shows gruesome beatings of women, children and the elderly by Israeli police and soldiers. If Biden refuses to stop such atrocities, how can he claim to be defending the rights of women, children and the elderly at home?

Or is this as hollow as his promise in the inaugural speech? The US, he said there, will show the power of example, not the example of power. Biden not only blocked the United Nations Security Council from stopping Israel's atrocities, but he stopped it from even condemning it.

Now, here is the rub. China and Russia, which the US routinely condemns as if it stands on some moral high ground, are ready to put a stop to the atrocities. Guess who is on the side of Israeli atrocities? The US.

China has gone further. It is asking the US to shoulder its responsibility. As for Russia, it doesn't want the history of Palestine to be changed.

We are with you on this, China and Russia. Americans must be ashamed of their leaders. One president after another, beginning with Harry S. Truman, who was the first to recognise the Zionist regime, have been serving its agenda.

To the outside world, and to most Americans, the man in the White House may appear as the most powerful leader in the world. But he isn't. He comes with strings attached to Jewish power.

Blame Truman, who started the first supplication. Authority must not be allowed to bow to influence thus. Puppet-puppeteer analogy wouldn't be misplaced here.

Evidence is plenty. Three will do. One is the regular meetings the US president has with Jewish leaders. No community in America gets that much attention.

Two is the military aid, which this year is said to be US$3.9 billion, in the estimate of The Economist. Three is foreign aid, generally. Israel gets one-fifth of all that goes out to the world.

Lord Acton was right. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
