OOPS! It's not exactly what you think. But it's not entirely wrong either. The headline tells half the story, like the score at half-time.

But no foul has been committed by Jeshurun, the subject of this tale and the headline.

This Jean Tigana lookalike (at least I think so) has run the length and breadth of the figurative fields of the world, and dazzled countless folks with nifty moves. He is not lightning fast, but if hearts were goalposts, he would have been one of the greatest goalscorers of all time.

Sure meh, you ask? Who is this slender fellow?

Well, Jeshurun Vincent is his name. And playing the guitar is his game.

He is in Qatar to participate in cultural activation programmes hosted by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy.

How did he get involved in these World Cup events?

He heard about them in August.

"I submitted a proposal to the organiser and waited. The fact is, I got an answer only fairly recently. Here I am now in cool Qatar," the 35-year-old said.

He is playing instrumental music "at a place called Corniche and outside the stadiums" for eight days.

The traveller extraordinaire is obviously over the moon. Qatar is the 123rd country he has visited in eight years, but that record is the furthest thing from his mind now.

"I am just so happy that I get to take Malaysia to the World Cup through my music. It's a great blessing."

Well, play on Jeshurun. It's not full time yet.
