SHAH ALAM: Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has challenged Jelutong member of parliament RSN Rayer to provide evidence that he insulted Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as alleged.

Describing Rayer's accusations as unfounded, Sanusi wants him to come forward with evidence.

"If Jelutong's (member of parliament) RSN Rayer is a real man, if he's brave, come (here), don't be mistaken like that. Tell me what it was I said that was insulting (to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim)," he said in his speech at the 69th Pas Muktamar in Shah Alam last night.

Also present were the Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Nassuruddin Daud, Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli, and Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar. Sanusi stated that Rayer made these statements in parliament and warned against making baseless accusations.

"Don't just make noise from behind; I want to know what it is exactly you're accusing me of…insulting the prime minister. What and where was the insult?" he said.

In another development, Sanusi requested the federal government to be fairer and allocate resources to opposition states.

"Any party, when it becomes the government, that party disappears because it has become the government for everyone. That's their responsibility.

"You can't be selective. Right now, 74 members of parliament cannot get allocations because they (the government) say they are not part of them, so they are not eligible for allocations.

"That's discrimination, one; (it) is wrong, and secondly; it's sinful," he said.

He added that some voters in Perikatan Nasional (PN) led areas have yet to receive any allocations, and most of them pray for God to avenge this injustice.

"One day, you will be affected; this government will fall. We hope that's the case. We will continue to pray for chaos in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) - Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition to continue, so then the government will change.

"Because in Kedah and Perlis, we allocate resources to the opposition; this is what being a 'gentleman' is. We hope the federal government is a gentleman like us, that's the right way to play politics, not being cowards like you," he said.
