KUALA LUMPUR: MCA will hold party polls for its central committee as well as Youth and Wanita wings next month.

MCA secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon said polling for both wings would be held on Sept 23, and for its central committee, on Sept 24.

Nomination day has been fixed on Sept 11, from 1pm until 5pm, at Wisma MCA here.

"The ballot order for candidates will be determined through a drawing process in line with established traditions," he said.

The central committee polls, he said, was set to take place across 160 polling stations nationwide, comprising 149 standalone divisional polling stations and 11 joint divisional polling stations.

As for the Youth and Wanita wings, there will be a total of 155 polling stations, including 147 standalones and eight joint divisional polling stations.

Cong added that 2,979 members have been assigned to manage the voting, vote counting, and observation processes.

"Following the conclusion of the MCA central committee elections, the general assemblies for the Youth and Wanita wings will be held on Oct 21, while the MCA General Assembly will take place on Oct 22.

"The assemblies are scheduled to be held at Wisma MCA here," he said.
