KUALA LUMPUR: The Election Commission (EC) has confirmed a straight fight for the Lembah Jaya seat in the Selangor election.

Lembah Jaya returning officer Zafrul Fazry Mohd Fauzi declared the nomination for both candidates as valid at 10.26am at the nomination centre at Dewan Dato' Ahmad Razali today.

The focus will be on the Pakatan Harapan candidate, famous rapper Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman Alhadad who is better known as Altimet.

He will face Perikatan Nasional candidate Sharifah Haslizah Syed Ariffin who is also Pas Ampang information chief.

Altimet submitted his nomination form at 9.03am, while Sharifah Haslizah sent in her form at 9.06am.

Meanwhile, the Bukit Antarabangsa seat will see a three-cornered fight between PH's Mohd Kamri Kamaruddin of PKR, Lyna Abdul Latif of PN and Melanie Ting from the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda).

This was confirmed by Bukit Antarabangsa returning officer, Dr Ani Ahmad.

Kamri arrived at the candidate nomination centre at 9.02am, while Sasha arrived three minutes later.

Ting arrived around 9.08 am.
