KUALA LUMPUR: As the competition for the Umno Youth chief election heats up, incumbent Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki has taken to Facebook to showcase his career achievements, in hopes of securing a job.

Asyraf Wajdi, who chose not to defend the Umno Youth chief post in this election for the 2023-2026 session, indicated that he is now exploring new opportunities.

In a Facebook status update, Asyraf Wajdi attached 14 images of documents detailing his biography and achievements to date.

"I have just finished updating my CV (resume). Anyone who wants to offer me a job is welcome.

"Today marks the end of almost five years of serving the Malaysian Umno Youth," he wrote.

Four candidates are vying for the Umno Youth chief position: former Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Mohd Shahar Abdullah, who is also a member of parliament for Paya Besar; Merlimau assemblyman Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh; Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Armand Azha Abu Hanifah; and Meor Hassan Mat Ali.
