KOTA KINABALU: Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan is leaving it to the Registrar of Societies (RoS) to investigate the complaint regarding the motion not to contest the party's top two posts during the 2022 Umno General Assembly last month.

He said the matter was beyond the jurisdiction of the party and it was the right of the RoS to make any decision.

"We will comply with whatever requirements are required of us. But I think we have already done that.

"So, there are people who are not satisfied, they have made a complaint to the RoS and that is their right. But it is up to the RoS to examine whether the complaint has merit or not," he said.

He said this at a press conference after a working visit to the Headquarters of the Fifth Malaysian Infantry Division (5 Div) at Camp Lok Kawi, here, today.

It was reported that the RoS has given the party 60 days to submit an explanation and all related information regarding the matter.

The 60-day period started on January 20, which is the date two Umno members sent a complaint to the RoS to request a review of the additional motion approved during the assembly.
