PONTIAN: Umno Secretary-General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan has proven that he has the trust and belief from the majority of the people in the parliamentary constituency of Pontian, Johor, in which he has won with a majority of 5,758 votes.

Ahmad Maslan, who has held the seat for the past three terms, polled 23,201 votes to defeat Perikatan Nasional's (PN) Datuk Isa Ab Hamid, who garnered 17,443 votes.

Pakatan Harapan's (PH) Shazwan Zdainal on the other hand got 15,901 votes while Pejuang's Jamaludin Mohamad only managed 306 votes.
