IPOH: Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is currently leading in the Bagan Datuk parliament seat.
His contenders, Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin from Pakatan Harapan (PH) has secured 1,455 votes, followed by Dr Muhammad Faiz Na'aman (PN) with 811 votes and Mohamed Tawfik Ismail (independent) with 34 votes.
The Bagan Datuk parliamentary seat has 58,183 registered voters while Pasir Salak has 74,631 voters.
In the 14th General Election, Zahid beat PKR's Pakhrurrazi Arshad and Pas' Ata Abdul Muneim Hasan Adli with a majority of 5,073 votes.
