BERA: Caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob issued a warning that threats made by PKR vice president towards the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki just goes to show that the opposition political party practices revenge politics.

He pointed out that the poor attitude of the candidate for the Parliamentary Constituency of Pandan clearly shows that the opposition party must not be given the mandate to form the next government.

According to him, the revenge attitude is clearly evident when Pakatan Harapan (PH) punished civil servants so much that many lost their jobs after the opposition coalition pulled off a historic upset victory during the previous General Election (GE-14).

"This is their real attitude and behaviour (PH) where they are always seeking to exact revenge; officers or officials who were not with them ended up losing their jobs, such as what happened after GE-14.

"So civil servants must never forget how thousands of officers who were employed on contract basis such as those who were with the Special Affairs Department (Jasa), the National Civics Bureau (BTN) and some from Community Development Department (Kemas) ended up losing their jobs just like that.

"Those who do not support them (PH), well, many lost their jobs," he said at a press conference after attending a meet and greet session with the people of Bandar 32 in Kemayan, Bera, last night (Nov 17).

Ismail Sabri said that if PH are given another chance to ascend to power, it is not impossible that the same thing can happen once again to even more civil servants.

He called on the people to wake up and realise that Barisan Nasional (BN) is the party that stands up for the people regardless of who they are or where they come from.

Earlier, during the Pakatan Harapan (PH) Mega 'Ceramah' in Johor Baru, Rafizi had issued a threat to MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki on the consequences he would face if the opposition coalition were to come to power after GE-15 tomorrow (Nov 19).
