JOHOR BARU: The people are finding it hard to cope with spiraling prices of essentials and food, so the time has come to change the system of government, said Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He told a crowd of about 500 people at a restaurant here that prices of essentials seem to be going up and never decreasing.

"Lives of people are getting hard these days and many are already suffering," he said.

He said PH wants to win this coming election and would change the system of governance in this country.

"I want to show that we can be a good government for this nation," he said.

Anwar said he wanted people of all races in this country to trust PH.

"I will make sure to get countries from all over the world to come and invest and make the country prosper," said the 75-year-old politician.

He said his presence here today was to support the candidates standing in the Pasir Gudang and Tebrau parliamentary constituencies.

He said PKR had fielded new and capable candidates.

He urged PH candidates to campaign and give their utmost to win.

"I have told the PH coalition that we want the best team so that the coalition can achieve victory," he said.

He said he will be travelling all over the country to ensure all PH candidates secures victory.

After delivering his talk Anwar headed for his next destination at Bandar Baru Uda followed by Simpang Renggam, Batu Pahat and his final stop at Ayer Hitam.
