KAMPAR: Pas has not made any decision on whether or not they will be using their own logo in the 15th General Election (GE15).

Pas secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan, however, said the use of logos other than their own during the election was not something new.

He said Pas was also still with Perikatan Nasional (PN) and did not reject cooperation with any party.

"It has not been decided yet...look at the situation and it is not something strange. In 1974 we used the Barisan Nasional (BN) (logo). Then we used our logo. When the time comes, it will be determined if we can use (our own logo). We will be thorough," he said after closing the Forestry Mountain Guide Course at the Grand Kampar Hotel, here, today.

He was commenting on PN secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin's statement on June 25 that Pas might be allowed to use its own logo in GE15 as one of the strategies to gain support.

On June 24, Pas spiritual leader Datuk Hashim Jasin in a statement had hinted on the possibility of Pas using its own logo in GE15.

Takiyuddin also said the proposed use of the party's logo was not an attempt to strain Pas' ties with PN.

"At this moment, Pas is with PN and we do not reject cooperation with any other party.

"We are still together in the concept of Muafakat Nasional (MN) for the national interest to unite the people of various races," he said.
