KOTA SAMARAHAN: Ampang member of Parliament Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin is ready to consider the offer to lead Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM), which was previously known as Sarawak Workers' Party (SWP).

The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Supreme Council member, however, said as of now, she has yet to receive any invitation from the party.

"I did not receive any invitation. I do not know yet. Insya-Allah (God Willing), I am ready to consider it (if there is any invitation from the party).

"If there was any invitation from anyone, I will consider it.

"Tak boleh tolak (Will not immediately reject the invitation)," said Zuraida, who is the Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister.

She told reporters this after attending the launching of the Sarawak Cocoa Cluster Complex here today.

Speculation is rife that Zuraida will lead PBM and that the party will be launched at the end of this month.

Party sources in Kelantan had said that they started recruiting members from all the 14 parliamentary constituencies in the state.

Although the party has yet to be launched, it so far managed to attract more than 3,000 new members.
