PUTRAJAYA: The fate of Selangor Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Youth chief Adhif Syan Abdullah in the party will be discussed during its supreme council meeting tomorrow.

Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin who is also the home minister said the party had its ethics and discipline guideline to be adhered to by party members.

It was reported that Adhif was among 17 who were arrested for an alleged drug offence on Sunday.

“Nevertheless, we must be fair as one is innocent until proven guilty,” he said after attending his ministry’s monthly gathering today.

He said the meeting would be chaired by party chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

“We will discuss the matter from the party’s point of view and image.”

Muhyiddin in a previous statement said the case would be left to the prerogative of the police.

It was reported that Adhif who is also the Dengkil state assemblyman, was believed to have been detained along with a few ministerial special officers in Damansara, Petaling Jaya, at 1.30am Sunday

Adhif allegedly tested positive for drugs during the raid at a condominium.
